Meeting 22 Characters in 1 Day!

My roommate Laura and I decided to spend our day off together in Laura’s home park, EPCOT! We had a couple goal for the day: meet as many characters as possible, visit every country, and for me to collect the flattened pennies from each country. Seems like quite a lot to do in one day, but we managed it all! We met every character on the schedule, as well as 4 surprise visit characters! So all in all, we met 22 different characters. Quite the accomplishment if you ask me!

We got the the park around 11:30am, and manage to finish me every character around 7:00pm! That left us with plenty of time to go on some of the attractions as well! We went single rider on Test Track, and used our fast passes for Soarin’! Next we went on The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and finished up our night with Illuminations! This was definitely one of the best days I’ve had in the parks to date, and I couldn’t have asked for a better roommate to spend it with!

The Road to Disney

The road to Disney was a long one, and took about 2 days. My parents and I traveled from Chicago, and made our way down to Orlando. The first day was about 9 hours, and we drove through Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee, where we spent the night in Chattanooga. The next day we go up bright in early, and spent most of the day driving through Georgia, in order to get to our final destination! For majority of the ride I had a nice little nest going in the backseat of my car. I think I packed just the right amount. Anymore and it would have been far too tight of a squeeze. I’m excited to finally dive into my Disney College Program!

Happy Independence Day!

This past weekend I travelled back home to Chicago to celebrate Independence Day with my family! My family holds an annual party at our house to celebrate the 4th of July, and it’s easily become my favorite holiday of the year. I created a brief montage to share what it’s like at my house preparing, and during the party! From all the different foods, to our barely legal fireworks in our backyard! Happy Independence Day!

50 Day Countdown!

So I’ve been counting down to my check-in day for well over 100 days now, but today I realized I have exactly 50 days to go! I’m still continuing to dismantle my room in preparation to move back to Chicago. Luckily with the 4th of July coming up, I’ll be headed home for the weekend, so I’m taking that opportunity to move some stuff home before the big move itself! In my second vlog (still adjusting to holding a camera out in front of my face) I decided to share what my room looks like in my college house, and some of the stuff I’m packing to bring home this weekend! Enjoy!

The First Vlog

I’ve finally filmed my first (arm-sticking-out-in-front-of-my-face) vlog! I figure if I want to vlog my DCP journey, I need to get adjusted to filming myself in that style! It’s got a little bit of a learning curve, like holding it steady, not covering the microphone, and all that kind of jazz. I’ll get there eventually, so I might as well start now!

In my first real vlog I was just going through some things in preparation for Disney! It may be a little over 2 months away, but I like to be well prepared. Since I’ll be moving so many times within the next year, it’s really important for me to stay organized throughout the whole process. So for me that means starting early, and creating a packing list! So enjoy my first vlog, and join me as I start my packing journey!

My First Youtube Video

I officially made my very first youtube video! I thought this would be a great way to document my experience, other than just my blog or photos. In my first video I include a small introduction of myself, as well as talking about my acceptance story! “Vlogging” is something I’ve never really done, but I’m excited to give it a shot! Overall, I hope you enjoy my very first video!
