It’s official! I can now call myself a proud alumna of The University of Iowa!
After 4 years of hard work, classes, marching band, sorority activities, working, and blogging, I can proudly say I am now a college graduate! Iowa City has been my home for the last 4 years, and the friends I’ve made there, have become my family. My sorority sisters, my marching band friends, my roommates. They’ve all impacted my life for the better. Some were there graduating right with me, while some are continuing on with their education and looking forward to their future graduations. They have been with me through it all. From Difficulties in class, stress of time management, break ups, to nights out. I could never dream of replacing them, or the memories we made here in Iowa.
Even though I created my own friend family in Iowa City, nothing could ever replace my real family. They’ve been there for me before Iowa was ever even came into the picture. My parents have cheered me on in everything I’ve ever done, and supported me through even the toughest of decisions. My older sister has been the same way, and we only got closer once we both went off to college. I’m thankful that even though my family was hours away, they were always still there for me. I couldn’t have done this without them. They have helped me become who I am today, and I couldn’t be more proud of that.
Now that classes have ended, now I can really look forward, and starting planning for my future adventures in the Disney College Program! If you know anything about me, it’s that I love to be prepared. I’ll be packing far in advance, and making detailed lists of everything I could possibly need. I’m terrified to leave all my friends behind, and move halfway across the country, but I’m also beyond thrilled and thankful for this opportunity.
DCP here I come!
